7.3.11 FRIENDLY REMINDER: Urie Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory was introduced in class.





It describes the individual (i.e., student) as a being nested within several layers of context. Over time humans navigate the various contexts with greater success and understanding.

7.2.11 FYI: here is terribly fuzzy picture I pulled together using the Autostitch application of the motivation + emotion diagram we did last week.

7.2.11 More general feedback: when you cite a theory and/or theorist, Dan Pink for example, make sure to address his complete idea i.e., drive is autonomy, mastery, and purpose. You can then elect to highlight one particular trait, however Pink believes high-quality, intrinsic motivation necessitates all three elements, not just one or two. If you believe differently, prove it with your evidence(s).
